Is this thing on?

Hello internet!

It's been exactly one month (to the date) since we last spoke...life has been so busy!

Here's what I've been up to:

-I traveled to Austin, TX for a bachelorette party. On our way we stopped in Waco to checkout the Magnolia Market.

We missed the Silo grand opening by a few weeks -however, it's probably for the best because I don't know that I would have been able to control my spending! Everything was so cute and perfect for the doll house! I brought back this wooden cookbook holder, it 's great for my iPad (when looking up those Pinterest/Pioneer Woman recipes!)

A few weeks later I attended the ionOklahoma 30 under 30 banquet. It was such an honor to be recognized and truly a wonderful evening.

My favorite part of the entire experience has been getting to know the other 30 under 30 recipients. They are all exceptional individuals who've accomplished so many wonderful things in such a short time...but what impressed me the most was how welcoming and friendly everyone was to one another. Standing in a room filled with successful men and women can be a little intimidating but that wasn't the case with this group! They were delightful!

A few days later I donned the same green dress to a vineyard wedding!

I know there is an unspoken rule about repeating an outfit in the same week...but I loved this dress! It was perfect for both occasions so I threw the rules out the window and never looked back!

Last weekend I attended a Halloween party & I went as Morticia Addams.

I don't think I've dressed up for Halloween since college. It was so much fun planning my costume! I probably watched a dozen Morticia Addams makeup tutorials on YouTube and even broke out the Addams Family Movie for inspiration!

The other costumes were pretty clever -I especially loved the DIY McDonalds french fry costume!

In my spare time I've been binge watching The Mindy Project. Oh my gosh, she is so funny!

Also, my other shows have made their way back into my life. Shonda Rhimes is to me what Beyonce is to the rest of the world. Thank you Shonda for Olivia Pope, Annalise Keating and my longtime friend, Meredith Grey.

I'm not ready to talk about The Walking Dead yet, however, I would like to address two of my (former) Facebook friends who thought it was socially acceptable to leak the major spoiler in this week's episode! Please read the following in Stephanie Tanner's voice: How Rude! #Unfriend

October is my favorite time of year. At the risk of sounding "basic" (did I use that new catch phrase correctly? please advise) ... I love the changing leaves, festive parties and pumpkin spice everything. I can't help myself!

Here are a few of my favorite things on the internet this month:

You all know how much I love theSkimm! One of the founders was recently married in Chicago and it was gorgeous!

-The New York Times

-Business Insider

-AD Week

The week ahead:
Halloween book club, trick-or-treaters and a cozy (scary) movie night with friends! Can't wait!

Happy Halloween!
