Week In Review // Link Love

It's been terribly hard to get back into my daily routine after the fourth. Why can't every day be spent by the pool or at the lake? Being a grown up is the pits.

Last week was a blur..playing catch up at work, adjusting to a healthier diet, jogging at the park -which reminds me of a moment that deserves an entire blog post on it's own...

Last week I jogged past the most adorable little boy and his mother. The little boy was 4 or 5 years old, curly brown hair. As I approached them I couldn't help but smile as we made eye contact. He was just darling. Anyway, right as I was passing them, he pointed at me and asked his mother: "Mom! Is that a warewolf?"  The mother looked at me apologetically and responded "no that's a nice lady!"  Apparently, I look like a long-lost relative of Jacob Black (which now that I think of it, I don't hate)...but it was funny and a little horrifying at the same time.

What else...I finally finished The Sopranos! What an ending! Totally unexpected but I was satisfied! If you're a Soprano fan, comment with your thoughts...now I need a new series to binge! Any suggestions?

This week I'm gearing up for our monthly Young Professionals meet-up. If you're local, click here for more information, I'd love to see you there!

Here are a few of my favorite things on the internet right now:

I'm a total makeup junkie, this makeover is breathtaking!
-Maskcara

Beauty Behind Bars
-xo Jane

I love a good egg sandwich and this method is a game changer!
-A Cup of Joe

The story of how the beloved American Girl Doll brand came to be. I never had an American Girl Doll but I remember wanting one (especially the "my twin doll") My childhood best friend had "Molly" -I'm still a little jealous!
-racked

How to ruin your live without even noticing. Long read but worth it. I love when the author says "Why are we so enamored with the idea of first becoming somebody's rather than somebodies?"
-Thought Catalog

I love zucchini noodles -I've been eating "zoodles" out the wazoo! It never occurred to me to make a fresh salad with my spiralizer! These recipes look amazing!
-brit+co

(I use the zoodle maker and LOVE it! It's small and easy to use -almost like using a pencil sharpener to spiral veggies)

While we're talking food, these cooking hacks are awesome! Everything from re-heating french fries to preventing your avocado from turning brown.
