Here's what I've been up to:

Long time no see! How are you?

I've been super busy (you know, having the time of my life and enjoying every second of my dream job)...anyway, I finally have some down time (hello snow day!) & I thought I'd dust off the ol' laptop and fill you in on what I've been up to these first few months of 2015.

I rang in the New Year with my best fran. It was perfect.

Hosted a co-ed "Serial" dinner party, it was amazing! We ate baked potatoes & debated over Adnan Syed's innocence for hours.

Watching on Netflix:
The Paradise
Gilmore Girls

Finally stopped procrastinating over my next doll house project, painting the guest room. Here's a sneak peek:

I became a platinum member at Ulta -doesn't sound like much but after being a member there since 2008, I felt like it's worth celebrating.

Pulled the trigger on a few Pinterest trends:
1. Kendra Scott Earrings
2. Gold Michael Kors watch (paired with every gold bracelet I own).

3. Naked 2 Palette
4. Contouring, love this kit

Celebrated Valentine's Day by wearing the most adorable skirt known to wo-man kind.

Spending more time with my baby sister...who against my protest, is actually growing up. Glass half full? The older we get, the more the age gap between us seems to shrink.

As I write this, I'm slowly recovering from an amazing girls weekend in Dallas. We ate at my favorite restaurant: Mi Cocina & danced the night away. Perfection.

Who runs the world? Girls. I'm inspired by so many leading ladies right now. Here's who I've been following:

Sheryl Sandberg
COO of Facebook, author of Lean In

Shonda Rhimes
Producer of my current tv obsessions: Scandal, Grey's & how to get away with murder  #TGIT -she owns Thursday night tv & my admiration for creating three shows that feature powerful female leads.

Rachel W. Miller
My girl crush & Buzz Feed writer. She is someone to watch out for...I just wish we could be friends IRL.

The Skimm
^okay so this isn't an actual woman but I feel as though I'd be doing you an injustice by leaving it off the list. It's founded by two ladies, both under 30. So what's "The Skimm" you ask? It's a newsletter for the busy (I like to refer to us as "modern") woman.  It's my complete source for the latest headlines: everything from Oscar buzz to ISIS & healthcare. It's witty & informative. Also? It gives me something smart to say on my next date, dinner party or business meeting. Sign up here. You're welcome.

I think that about covers it on my end, but I'd love to hear about you! What have you been up to? Reading anything I might enjoy? I'm always looking for a new Netflix series to binge...have any suggestions?
