I just finished another series: Hush, Hush by Becca Fitzpartick.
Warning: this book is written for teenagers. I didn’t think the writing was very good and at times I found myself bored. However, I enjyed the story.
You should know, the series isn’t finished. Currently, there are three books and the fourth (Finale) is coming out this fall (October 23rd).
"Nora Grey is responsible and smart, Patch is dangerous and reckless. After getting paired together in biology, all Nora wants to do is stay away from Patch, but he always seems to be two steps ahead of her. She can feel his eyes on her even when he is nowhere around. She feels him nearby even when she is alone in her bedroom. And when her attraction can be denied no longer, she learns the secret about who Patch is and what led him to her, as well as the dark path he is about to lead her down..." Source
I’m not sure if I would recommend this book.
On one hand, it was a great story about teenage romance and dark magical beings.
Who doesn’t love a story about an overprotective boyfriend with dark magical powers?
All you “Twihards” would love this book.
On the other hand, it was a little slow and very predictive.
Obviously, I have mixed feelings.
All in all, it was a great summer read. With nothing on T.V., it gave me something to do.
If you aren’t an avid reader, I would skip Hush, Hush and read Divergent (Now that’s a good book!)
Next month I plan on reading The Night Circus and The Uglies.
